Meadow Lake RCMP are releasing more details about the increased police presence early Tuesday morning in the community about 300 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon.
Tuesday around 5:40 a.m., Meadow Lake RCMP responded to a shooting at a business in that community and found a man with life threatening injuries. The 23-year-old Meadow Lake man was transported to hospital where he was declared dead. Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes has taken charge of the investigation, which has been deemed a homicide.
RCMP say investigators are conducting witness interviews and gathering information to develop a clear timeline of events and determine the circumstances around the victim’s death.
