Tamara Lich and Chris Barber will stand trial today in Ottawa. The “Freedom Convoy” organizers are charged with mischief, obstructing police, counselling others to commit mischief and intimidation.
They were charged for their role in the three-week protest in February 2022 that locked down Ottawa and sparked a border blockade that eventually led to the Liberal government invoked the Emergencies Act.
Lich lives in Medicine Hat and Chris Barber is from Swift Current. The trial is expected to take 16 days.
