It was another dry month for much of Saskatchewan—with southeast regions being the notable exception. Other centres, like Saskatoon and Swift Current, managed to post a slightly above average rainfall total, although it was not enough to even place a small dent in the serious soil moisture deficit heading into winter.
A string of thunderstorms on October 1st delivered welcome rainfall to southeast Saskatchewan with Estevan recording nearly twice as much as normal.
