Highway Hotline is reporting reduced visibility and fog, as well as wet and subject to freezing conditions in several areas of Saskatchewan.
Moose Jaw, Regina, Eston, Kyle, Kenaston Leader and Outlook are experiencing potentially dangerous levels of fog. Meanwhile in Rosthern, Shellbrook and Beauval, highways may be wet and subject to freezing. Saskatoon and area are reported to have seasonal conditions; however, conditions can change rapidly and unexpectedly, and motorists should be alert.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for parts of Saskatchewan that includes the potential for freezing rain and snow. They say the system will develop over Alberta Saturday and could bring a large area of freezing rain to portions of central and southeast Saskatchewan on Sunday… with freezing rain overnight Saturday into Sunday morning and then heading eastward. North of the freezing rain, there will be snow, which has the potential to be heavy spread through central Saskatchewan – but there is a significant uncertainty with this system.
