A Canada Holiday Shopping Survey indicates 39 per cent of shoppers are prioritizing saving money, with an average holiday budget similar to last year’s despite inflation. The rest are opting to increase their budgets and include more experiences with family and friends.
Popular destinations listed for holiday experiences include shopping centres, restaurants and movie theatres.
The study is from JLL, a commercial real estate and investment management company.
The report indicates a preference for physical stores over online shopping, however deal-hunters tend to favour e-commerce.
Clothing, shoes and gift cards are the most popular gifts among shoppers.
