A Saskatoon man has been arrested after officers responded to a disturbance and a police officer was assaulted Tuesday afternoon. Around 3 p.m., police were called to an educational institution in the 700 block of Cynthia Street and when officers arrived it is reported they found a man acting erratically inside the building. He didn’t comply with police commands and actively resisted arrest.
During a struggle with officers, a news release from the Saskatoon Police Service says he was brought to the ground and then he kicked a Constable in the head twice, causing non-life-threatening injuries. The 37-year-old is charged with mischief under $5,000 and assaulting a police officer.
