Tickets for the annual Saskatoon Hospital Home Lottery are on sale now.
Lottery chair, and CEO of Royal University Hospital, Jennifer Malloy, says the funds raised are not only kept in the province, but they also help to keep hospital patients in Saskatchewan as well.
“It really makes you think about our patients and what we’re trying to do, and that’s to keep them home, in Saskatchewan, close to their support care teams, family, friends. For every ticket that’s purchased, it really makes a big difference to our patients and to our hospitals,” she noted.
The money will be split between the Royal University, St. Paul’s and Saskatoon City Hospital Foundations to do just that, as well as improve patient care and upgrade hospital equipment.
Malloy adds that the grand prize is a $2 million show home located in Edgemont Park Estates and $50,000 cash. The home features five bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a three-vehicle garage, a full bar, and a secret library.
“You walk in, and it’s beautiful. There’s a beautiful five-foot tall fireplace that you can see through to the outside, it’s gorgeous. And then you come downstairs, gorgeous again, but there’s a home theatre. There is a beautiful little nook where you can close the door, read, it’s gorgeous.”
Also, if you purchase your ticket before January 19th, you are entered to win the VIP prize, which is a four-day stay at a castle in Ireland, or $30,000.
Tickets can be purchased online at hospitalhomelottery.org, and the $2 million house is available to view on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00am-4:00pm.
