Young innovators from the prairies are being encouraged to enter their projects into the Ingenious+ Challenge.
Led by the Rideau Hall Foundation, the challenge is offering over $160,000 in prize money and mentorship opportunities to Canadians aged 14-18 who have developed a project they want to share.
They can submit their project into one of five categories: Community and Civic Engagement, Climate Change and the Environment, Equality and Inclusion, Health and Well-Being, and Technology and Entrepreneurship.
Up to 100 regional winners will receive $1000, mentorship opportunities, and the chance to advance to nationals, where they could win $10,000.
Projects that have won in past years include a mental health platform that promotes random acts of kindness, a shoe collection program for students in need, and a project to distribute period products in the community.
Applications can be submitted online until February 22.
