The Body Shop Canada has announced it will be closing 33 of its 105 store locations as it restructures operations. This is because the parent company, The Body Shop International, based in the U.K. has filed for ‘administration’ which allows companies to try to restructure and get back to turning a profit. Other options would be to liquidate and sell of the assets or bankruptcy where the courts write off your debt.
There are five locations in Saskatchewan that are closing: Regina’s store in Cornwall Centre, Lloydminster’s store in the Lloyd Mall and three stores in Saskatoon in Lawson Heights and The Centre Malls and Midtown Plaza.
The Body Shop’s stores in the United States all closed today (Fri).
