
About $1.8 million worth of fentanyl was seized by the Regina Police Service Drug Unit on March 1st. Police say two makes were arrested in a vehicle in the parking lot of a business in the 500 block of Albert Street North, believing they were involved in drug trafficking. From the search, 4.5 kilograms of fentanyl was seized, along with 850 grams of cocaine, 5.2 kilograms of meth, a litre of GHB, over $22,000 in cash and a vehicle.
This is the second large seizure of drugs by Regina Police in less than a month. On February 16th, 9 kilograms of fentanyl was seized, along with other drugs.
Two men, 38-year-old Christopher Ray Briltz and 51-year-old Brent Douglass Orr are facing possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of property obtained by crime charges and made their first court appearances March 4th in Regina.
