It’s a play set a hockey arena, but it’s more about the fight afterwards between two fathers.
25th Street Theatre’s latest production is called Men Express Their Feelings.
Director Joshua Beaudry says this comedy is about the two fathers who have been told to go to a change room and talk it out after their fight.
Like hockey, the play is staged in three periods and includes mascots and good rock music used during games to rev up the crowd.
It’s a comedy, but Beaudry explains that that it’s also about relationships, racism and communication.
He says it’s about how we expect men to behave and the general and cultural differences that exist.
Beaudry hopes both theatre and sports lovers will check the play out.
It’s at The Backstage Stage at Persephone Theatre in Saskatoon March 9th to 20th and it’s in Regina March 30th and 31st at The Artestia.
Tickets are available through 25th Street Theatre’s website.
