Each year, up to 125 youth from across the country gather virtually to form the RCMP’s National Youth Advisory Committee.
The group, comprised of youths ages 13 to 21 who hope to make a positive difference in their community, discuss topics such as bullying, online safety, drugs and alcohol, mental health, and sexual diversity.
Applications to form this year’s committee are open and will be until September 9th. The commitment would require two to four online hours per month, from October to June.
Those interested in providing valuable input to RCMP policies, programs and strategies can apply on the RCMP website. Those who apply by July 31 will be considered as part of the first selection round.
