A nearly 18-year-old male youth will appear in North Battleford Provincial Court Thursday after being arrested Tuesday in connection to a shooting in Lloydminster on Monday evening.

At around 10:38 p.m. on May 27, Lloydminster RCMP received a complaint regarding someone having been shot outside of an apartment complex in Lloydminster. Officers found the victim, who was transported to hospital. at 1 p.m. on May 28, RCMP arrested the nearly 18-year-old male youth and charged him with aggravated assault with other charges to be considered as the investigation continues. The Alberta RCMP Major Crime Unit has taken the lead on the investigation as the victim has not yet been pronounced deceased.
