People with diverse needs in both Saskatoon and Regina will benefit from several new affordable housing units announced by the provincial government.
Coming to Saskatoon’s Willowgrove neighbourhood are six stacked townhome units, consisting of two three-bedroom units and four two-bedroom units.
In Regina’s Plainsview Estates, four three-bedroom stacked townhomes will provide housing to eight individuals experiencing mental health and physical disabilities.
Tenants in Saskatoon and Regina will also receive support services from the Canadian Mental Health Association and Creative Options Regina, respectively.
The majority of the funding for both projects comes from the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation through the Rental Development Program, which is funded by the National Housing Strategy- Saskatchewan Priorities Initiative.
