Former Government House Leader Jeremy Harrison didn’t have much to say today (Fri) regarding his weapons-related allegations that came from House Speaker Randy Weekes.
When asked his opinion on the NDP calling for an investigation into the matter, Harrison replied that House Leadership will be responding to the possibility of an inquiry very shortly, and it’s not his response to give. “Look, I’ve spoken to this repeatedly. I really don’t have anything more to add from my perspective. House Leadership will be providing a response in due course, and it will be dealt with in that fashion.”
On May 16th, Weekes made several statements about Harrison including that he once brought a long gun to the legislature. Premier Scott More originally dubbed the claim ‘unequivocally false’, but Harrison later admitted to the action and stepped down as Government House Leader.
