A 15-year-old boy has been charged with taking a vehicle without consent, dangerous driving causing bodily harm and dangerous driving causing death after a fatal accident in April. Saskatoon Police responded around 6 a.m. on April 14th to the 4200 block of Taylor Street East about a single vehicle collision.

A 16-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene. Two 15-year-old boys were transported to hospital.  Police say one suffered minor injuries and the other was in serious condition.

Investigators say a 2008 Honda Civic had been speeding and the driver lost control. The vehicle hit a pole and flipped over. Impairment isn’t considered to be a factor. The 15-year-old driver appeared in court on Wednesday.
