As a result of a traffic stop on Highway 55, east of Meadow Lake on Sunday evening, Green Lake RCMP seized about two kilograms of meth, about 34 grams of cocaine, around 26 grams of fentanyl/MDMA, drug trafficking paraphernalia, an imitation handgun, a lighter that looked like a handgun and cash. Corporal Paul Loder of the Green Lake detachment, says, “This is a significant drug seizure. We removed potentially 20,000 doses/points of meth from Green Lake and the surrounding communities.” He adds that the sharp observation skills of the RCMP officer resulted in some dangerous substances and objects being taken off the streets.
Thirty-five-year-old Dabney Natomagan of Pinehouse Lake is facing charges that include possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime less than $5,000 and carrying a concealed weapon. He appeared in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on Monday.
