A poet and novelist that has travelled Western Canada sharing his skills will now be living in Saskatoon as the Saskatoon Public Library’s Writer in Residence.
Garry Thomas Morse has published several poetry collections, his most notable being Discovery Passages. His work focuses on the history of his Indigenous ancestors.
His poems have been shortlisted for multiple awards, and his fiction series was nominated for the ReLit Award.
Morse is also the author of several novels, titled Death in Vancouver and Yams Do Not Exist.
During his time in Saskatoon, Morse will be hosting workshops and providing individual guidance to local writers. He says he is also thinking about writing a Saskatoon-based novel and poetry collection.
