Saskatoon RCMP say an SUV trying to avoid cattle on the highway ended up in a collision anyway. Two SUVs were involved in the accident just south of Saskatoon Sunday evening.
The Saskatoon Fire Department also responded to that motor vehicle accident about five minutes south of Saskatoon shortly after 7:30 p.m.
One vehicle was found upright on the highway and the other one on its roof in the ditch with two people inside. Fire crews helped set up a landing zone for the STARS helicopter. The RCMP say one person was taken to hospital by STARS and the other by ground ambulance with injuries described as non life threatening.
The occupants of the other SUV did not report injuries to police.
The accident was at Highway 11 and Victor Road and remains under investigation.
