Around 10:30 p.m. Monday night the Calgary International Airport posted to social media that for the safety of all guests and staff, B gates and some C gates werebeing evacuated due to water damage. No injuries were reported despite video from travellers showing water pouring through the ceiling and ceiling tiles falling to the floor.
The Calgary airport domestic terminal suffered damage in hail and heavy rainfall and officials say parts of the terminal will remain closed until further notice. Many Saskatchewan flights, coming and going, connect through Calgary and officials are telling passengers to check with their airline for flight updates.
In Saskatoon there are cancelled flights for both arrivals and departures as well as delayed flights.
