It’s a sold-out Vic Dubois’ Retirement Breakfast taking place this morning in Saskatoon.
Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation CEO Steve Shannon says they want to thank Saskatoon Media Group and in particular company owner Elmer Hildebrand who he says has paid for the breakfast so all money from proceeds of the tickets will be directed to the Foundation’s “It Starts Here” campaign.
The campaign is raising $3million for a new CT scanner. In 2022-23 the CT scanner at Saskatoon City Hospital saw more than 15,000 individual patients. Shannon says in the end its safer for the patient, less time on the table and more people being able to access the technology who need it.
He also says when you come to get a CT scan you don’t necessarily know if anything is wrong so that’s why they are calling the campaign, “It Starts Here” because a CT scan will launch a patient to the next step on their wellness journey.
Coffee Talk Live with breakfast takes place at Prairieland Park.
