
The collision that occurred Friday night on Highway 16 was fatal for a 53-year-old north Vancouver woman. At 8:50 p.m., Wynyard RCMP received a report of a collision two kilometres north of Dafoe.
Officers say a semi and truck collided. The woman was the driver and sole occupant of the truck.
The driver of the semi was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Highway 16 has since reopened, and the investigation continues.
Original: At 10:14pm last night, Wynyard RCMP were on the scene of a serious collision on Highway #16, about two kilometers north of Dafoe. STARS Air Ambulance also reported to the scene.
The investigation is still in the beginning stages, so there are no further details, but the highway is closed, and detours are in place. Motorists should expect delays.
Dafoe is two hours east of Saskatoon on Highway 16 East.
