
Megan Gallagher
The life of Megan Gallagher and countless other Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls will be honoured tomorrow at what is being called ‘Megan’s 4th and final Memorial Walk’.
The event will begin at 9:30 am at Joe Gallagher Field, which is located at 1535 Ave P. South. Opening comments from Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Vice Chief Nations Ally Bear, President of CUMFI Shirley Isbister, the Saskatoon Police Service, and Brian Gallagher will begin at 10:00am.
The walk will wrap up at 11:30 at CUMFI where participants will be offered lunch and entertainment from JJ Lavallee.
Megan Gallagher’s remains were found in the South Saskatchewan River near St. Louis in 2022, two years after she was reported missing. Nine people are charged in connection to her death, including four people facing a first-degree murder charge.
