There is a collective sigh of relief after a five-day-old baby boy who was the subject of an amber alert, has been located. The infant was found in Big River and RCMP say he appears safe and is being assessed by EMS. The suspect is in custody.

RCMP have asked for the names of the baby and the suspect and their pictures be removed from circulation, Police were told just before two this afternoon (Thurs) that an infant had been abducted from the health centre in Montreal Lake. An amber alert was issued just after 5 p.m. and just before 6, it was cancelled. The investigation is ongoing, with more information to be provided later.
