The Saskatoon Police Service says three adults were arrested early this morning after a traffic stop and two youths were transferred into the care of crisis workers. Police were patrolling around 30th Street West and Avenue H North around 1:30 a.m. and noticed a vehicle without a license plate. When officers approached, a news release from the Police Service says there was a smell of alcohol coming from inside the vehicle. As everyone was getting out of the vehicle, officers noticed multiple bottles of open alcohol and a modified rifle with a loaded prohibited magazine on the floor, which was seized, along with several rounds of assorted ammunition, various quantities of different drugs, multiple cell phones and a small quantity of cash.
A 29-year-old woman and 39-year-old man are facing firearms and drug trafficking related charges and a 22-year-old man was arrested on outstanding warrants.
