The latest Community Respiratory Illness Surveillance Program report which covers October 6th through November 2nd indicates that there were nine deaths where people had tested positive for COVID-19. Outbreaks of the virus in high-risk settings went from 35 in the first two weeks to 22 for the most recent two weeks.
The report from the Health Ministry says COVID hospitalizations have decreased over time to 84 in the most recent two weeks. ICU admissions are down from 15 in the first two weeks to 9 in the most recent two weeks.
There were no influenza outbreaks or deaths in the past month. Two people with RSV were hospitalized, but hospitalizations due to ‘other’ respiratory viruses increased from 13 to 27 in the most recent two weeks. The Health Ministry is moving back to bi-weekly reports, so the next report will be on the 22nd.
