All ballots from the October 28th provincial election have now been counted, as the Final Count took place yesterday, and the results were posted last evening.
Elections Saskatchewan says a total of 471,087 ballots were cast, which is over 56 per cent of the estimated eligible voters. This means the recent election drew out the highest Saskatchewan voter turnout since 2007, when nearly 61 percent of eligible voters voted.
During yesterday’s Final Count, vote by mail ballots received between Oct. 27 and Nov. 7 were tallied, as were votes cast from hospitals and remand facilities.
Now that the Final Count has wrapped up, candidates and financial agents can request a recount until Wednesday, November 20.
