The Saskatoon Police Service’s Serious Assault Unit is continuing to investigate a stabbing that occurred Friday night, from which a male victim was sent to hospital in serious condition while a male suspect is still being sought by police.
Shortly after 10 p.m. on November 8, officers responded to the 200 block of 2nd Avenue South for a report of an injured person who had been stabbed in the leg. They found a 28-year-old man suffering from a stab wound. Paramedics arrived shortly after and transported the victim to hospital with what were believed to be life-threatening injuries.
The suspect had fled the scene before police arrived. Further investigation by officers led to the presumption that the stabbing took place near the intersection of 20th Street East and 1st Avenue South. Anyone with information is asked to contact the S-P-S or Crime Stoppers.
