The Saskatoon Fire Department had to extricate someone from a recycling truck, who had been dumped there from inside a Loraas bin. The driver tipped the bin and realized someone was inside. This was around 9:30 a.m. Monday morning.

The truck pulled off College Drive and parked in the southbound lanes in the 1100 block of University Drive. Firefighters met Saskatoon Police on scene, where the Fire Department’s rescue team safely removed the person from the recycling truck using tools and a rope system to lower the patient down from the truck. The individual was transported to hospital by ambulance.
