Over the course of three days, Saskatchewan RCMP’s Saskatoon Warrant Enforcement and Response Team (WEST) arrested five people in the Lloydminster area who were wanted on multiple outstanding warrants.
Last Tuesday police located and arrested 23-year-old Shania Heathen of Lloydminster at a business in Lloydminster. She was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Maidstone RCMP for possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, as well as for breaching her conditional sentence order. She is also facing a new charge of possession of schedule I substance (fentanyl).
Heathen was located with Tamarah Dillon, a 31-year-old woman from Edmonton who was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Onion Lake RCMP for assault with weapon. She was also on a Canada-wide warrant from Correctional Service Canada for being unlawfully at large
Prior to the arrests, RCMP say officers witnessed Dylane McAllister, a 29-year-old man from Lloydminster, leaving the business. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Maidstone RCMP for possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose.
The next day, on November 6th Saskatoon WEST officers determined Valance Wapass, a 40-year-old man from Onion Lake Cree Nation, SK, was at a home on Thunderchild First Nation. Wapass was wanted on outstanding warrants from Onion Lake and Turtleford RCMP for charges including assault with a weapon, assault, uttering threats and five counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
WEST officers contained the area around the residence and arrested Wapass without incident with the assistance of the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Critical Incident Response Team.
And last Thursday Saskatoon WEST located and arrested Garett Stanley at a home on Onion Lake Cree Nation. The 23-year-old man from the First Nation was arrested on a Canada-wide warrant from Correctional Service Canada for being unlawfully at large.
