Both Saskatoon Fire and Police are reporting several collisions brought upon by slick roads this morning. Saskatoon Fire responded to two accidents on the Gordie Howe Bridge, the first involving two vehicles and the second involving four. One person came away with minor injuries.
Police say they attended multiple vehicle incidents on the Circle Drive North Bridge, Senator Sid Buckwold Bridge and several areas along Circle Drive this morning, as well. Traffic restrictions and delays in these areas are ongoing.
Following these incidents roadway crews with sander units will get busy on priority streets, on and off ramps and bridge decks. They will also apply de-icing treatments, starting with Circle Drive and expressways, and will continue to maintain city streets as long as the weather persists.
