Canadian Western Agribition is coming off a very successful show last year which saw attendance increase 19 per cent .
Shaun Kindopp is the Chief Executive Officer of Canadian Western Agribition.
International delegations from Mexico, Mongolia and Kazahkstan have travelled to Regina. Cattle producers will be in attendance from all three Prairies provinces and several US States. Grant McClellan is the CEO of the Saskatchewan Cattlemens Association.
The Agribition trade show is full with 130 exhibitors. Many will provide options for early Christmas shoppers while some booths are targeted at the ag sector. Olds College from central Alberta will be there to talk to prospective students. Saskatchewan accounts for just over 10 percent of the student enrollment at Olds College. Todd Ormann is Olds College Vice President of Development. He says a couple of people will be at Agribition to answer all questions
There is no admission charge on Day One of Agribition. The highlight of the day comes at 10am on Monday with the Burning of the Brand. The job will be handled by Saskatchewan Roughrider Head Coach Corey Mace.
Also on Monday’s schedule is the CN 4-H judging competition, bison and alpaca shows and the National Texas Longhorn Show and sale.
Canadian Western Agribition runs today through Saturday in Regina.
