The Saskatoon Police Service has wrapped up Project Penske which was an investigation that targeted firearms trafficking in Saskatoon.
The investigation spanned over several months and various locations within Saskatoon. The Saskatoon Police Service Guns & Gangs Unit with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit concluded the investigation November 14th.
A total of 86 charges have been laid against 10 individuals ranging in age from 17-37 years old who are facing offences that include trafficking in firearms and trafficking in controlled substances.
A total of 8 firearms, one prohibited magazine and approximately 70 grams of cocaine were seized as part of this investigation.
