A 36-year-old woman has been arrested and charged by the Saskatoon Police Service following a weekend hit and run incident.
An SPS news release says that shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, officers witnessed a westbound Jeep Wrangler hit a pedestrian while walking through a crosswalk at the intersection of 22nd Street West and Avenue P South.
The driver stopped and got out of the vehicle momentarily before re-entering and driving away. The victim was taken to hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Police located the Jeep in a strip mall nearby and arrested the woman, charging her with failing to stop at an accident causing bodily harm.
