The Fill the Plate holiday campaign officially kicked off Thursday in Saskatoon with Nutrien matching cash donations to the Friendship Inn during December up to $125,000.

In a news release Friendship Inn Board Chair, Ashala Jacobson says, “Nutrien’s decision to increase their matching contribution to $125K this year will help the Friendship Inn keep pace with the growing need for daily meals.”
Nutrien has partnered with the Friendship Inn for the last 12 years. Open 365 days a year, the Inn serves breakfast lunch. All meals are offered free of charge, with no questions asked.
Nutrien’s Vice President Commercial Development and Integration is Holly Kral who says, “At Nutrien, we believe that everyone deserves a warm meal every day, not just during the holiday season.”
The Friendship Inn relies on donations to raise 95% of the funds necessary for the daily Free Meal Service which serves many of the community’s most vulnerable people and $6 helps to fill one plate.
