The City of Saskatoon says all snow in school zones is expected to be removed by Monday morning.
In a news release, the city says snow has been graded on all priority streets while snow removal began Wednesday night in Business Improvement Districts (BIDS) and school zones. It’ll take six nights to complete snow removal in the BIDS, after which crews will shift focus to snow removal from priority streets. They are also continuing to clean up bus stops and other localized areas of concern while doing a city-wide assessment of local street conditions. Areas said to have excessive rutting or mobility issues are being assessed. The city reminds residents to avoid placing snow back onto the streets as that can block mobility and create safety concerns for drivers and pedestrians.
