A car jacking involving a gun has sent one man to hospital with serious injuries.

Battlefords RCMP say this past Saturday their officers responded to a report of a shooting and armed robbery. This was at 1:10 a.m. on Saulteaux First Nation and their investigation determined that a man was parked on the side of a grid road when a group of people drove up to him and shot him then stole his vehicle.

The vehicle was later recovered and Battlefords RCMP is actively investigating this incident, with the assistance of Saskatchewan RCMP’s General Investigation Section and Forensic Identification Services.  Anyone with information should contact Battlefords RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
