With the holiday travel season in full swing, the Saskatoon Airport Authority is reminding passengers to leave any gifts that they’re transporting unwrapped, as their hard work could be undone by security.
President and CEO of the Saskatoon Airport Authority, Stephen Maybury, says other tips for ensuring smooth holiday travel include arriving two hours early for domestic flights and three hours before international flights. Check in online ahead of time and utilize the website to its full potential. “If you want to book your parking for your vehicle if you are taking one to the airport, you can do that in advance, and there are discounts available on there for certain products here at the airport.”
He says knowing your baggage requirements before you’re in line to check them can also help prevent delays at the airport. “Verifying your flight status is so important. We always advise you to use your airline app or direct connection with the airline for the latest information.”
Maybury says about 4,000 people navigate through the Saskatoon airport each day during the holiday season.
