A Monday morning stabbing in Prince Albert has the P-A Police Service looking for a female suspect.
A news release from the Prince Albert Police says officers were called to the 2900 block of 5-A Avenue East at around 7:10 a.m. for a report of an injured person. When police arrived, the suspect had fled while Parkland Ambulance was already on the scene treating a female victim who had been stabbed. The 27-year-old victim was transported to hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. Officers found a knife at the scene and soon learned that there had been a physical altercation between the suspect and the victim outside the residence where it was believed the stabbing occurred. The female suspect was wearing a blue and yellow jacket and had her hair in a bun. Anyone with information to help out the police investigation is asked to contact the Prince Albert Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
