The average price for gas in Saskatoon ticked down a bit in the past week, falling 0.4 cents a litre, averaging at $1.42.86 cents a litre on Sunday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 81 gas outlets in the city. The national average for the price of gas was $1.47.48 cents a litre, an increase of 1.1 cents. Comparing the prices from a year ago, they are 13.7 cents a litre higher than last year in Saskatoon.
In Regina, the price for gas on Sunday averaged at $1.45.67 cents a litre, up slightly from last week’s $1.45.53 c/l. The provincial average on Sunday was $1.44.25 c/l, a slight rise from last week’s $1.44.42 c/l.
Head of petroleum analysis with GasBuddy, Patrick De Haan, says, “As we edge closer to the end of the year, we’re seeing momentum for falling gas prices weaken, which is typical as the national average generally bottoms out between November and New Years Eve. Click here to find prices in your area.
