After seeing a 21 per cent increase in impaired driving this year, Prince Albert police officers are reminding the public to find a safe ride home this holiday season.
Throughout December, members of Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan will be in Prince Albert conducting various check stops. Drivers who are sober and complying with traffic laws will be rewarded with incentives during the traffic stop.
Officers remind the public that there are several options to choose from instead of getting behind the wheel while intoxicated.
These include getting a ride from a sober designated driver, calling a friend or family member to come get you, arranging a cab or other driving service, or simply staying the night wherever you are.
