Prince Albert RCMP are investigating a robbery on Sturgeon Lake First Nation.
The call came in at 4:20 p.m. last Friday. RCMP say several individuals approached a male victim who was threatened and his vehicle stolen.
Officers began patrolling to find the stolen vehicle and soon located it driving on the First Nation, but it didn’t stop when RCMP tried to pull it over.
The suspect vehicle avoided a tire deflation device by making an abrupt U-turn almost hitting two police cruisers. Police continued their pursuit, and the vehicle eventually came to a stop.
While two other people were also taken into custody, they were released, and 29-year-old Tonisha Fulton of Prince Albert was arrested. She was in Prince Albert Provincial Court Monday charged with assault police officer with a weapon, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from peace officer, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
