Two people were arrested Thursday on the Saulteaux First Nation, about 40 kilometres north of North Battleford.
RCMP were called to a residence around 4:50am on Thursday. Officers located a seriously injured man, who was later pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Lyle Night Jr. from the Saulteaux First Nation.
Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes handled the investigation. Later on Thursday, a man and woman were arrested at a residence on the Saulteaux First Nation.
First degree murder charges have been laid against 20-year old Brody Runningaround and 23-year old Malyka Nahbexie. They are scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Monday.
