Environment Canada has issued an Extreme Cold Warning for a large swath of central Saskatchewan from west to east and moving through to the southeast corner of the province. Both Prince Albert and Saskatoon are included in this advisory. A period of very cold wind chills is expected to continue into Saturday before moderating on Sunday. Both Saskatoon and Prince Albert are included in the extreme cold warning.
There is also an Extreme Cold Warning for the far north, which can expect a period of very cold wind chills. Extremely cold wind chill values near -45 are occurring this morning through northern Saskatchewan. In some regions, very cold wind chills may return overnight into Saturday morning.
