Biggar RCMP say a car and a semi collided on Highway 14 east of Biggar Thursday.

The call came in at approximately 12:40 p.m. and the driver of the car, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. He has been identified as a 35-year-old man from Saskatoon.

The driver of the semi was transported to hospital by EMS with injuries described as non-life threatening.

Biggar RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.

Highway 14 at the site of the accident was shut down with detours but had reopened by Friday morning.
