Poor road conditions such as ice and snow have prompted Highway Hotline to flag travel as not recommended on various Saskatchewan roadways.
Impacted regions include all highways out of Biggar, Eston, Moose Jaw, as well as highway 321 through Burstall and Highways 31 and 21 from Kindersley to Plenty.
There are also numerous highways rated as covered or partly covered, meaning driving conditions aren’t great in these areas either. They include all regions accept for the southeasternmost corner of the province and a band that spans east to west that encompasses everywhere from Macklin to Kamsack. Those areas are labeled as bare.
Yesterday evening the Saskatchewan RCMP warned the public specifically of Highways #7, #14, #21 and #51 near Kindersley, Unity, Kerrobert and Macklin, as they were affected most by freezing rain and ice.
