Through the course of a Lloydminster RCMP investigation which began back in September, officers discovered that over $300,000 had been embezzled from the local Minor Hockey Association through fraud and theft over a five-year period. A news release from the RCMP says 42-year-old Aaron Troy Foster of Lloydminster is facing charges of fraud over $5,000, theft over $5,000, criminal breach of trust and false presence. He is a former Operations Chair of the Association.
Foster appeared before a Justice of the Peace and was released on a Release Order with conditions. His next court date is January 28th at the Alberta Court of Justice in Lloydminster.
