A 59-year-old man from Lintlaw died in a two-vehicle accident around 6 p.m. yesterday on Highway 49, about 5 kilometres east of Kelvington. Rose Valley RCMP responded, along with local fire and EMS.

A news release from the RCMP says an SUV collided with a parked truck and a pedestrian on the side of the highway. The 59-year-old was declared dead at the scene. The passenger in the truck was assessed by EMS and the woman reported no physical injuries. The man driving the SUV reported no physical injuries to police but was taken to hospital for further assessment. The investigation is ongoing.
