Lloydminster RCMP say they received several 911 calls around 3:00 p.m. Monday afternoon about an erratic driver which struck several vehicles on the south side of Lloydminster.
Officers located the vehicle which had been reported stolen. Due to the risk posed to the public, RCMP gave pursuit and subsequently the stolen vehicle hit an RCMP vehicle. The officers inside were not injured. A coordinated effort between Lloydminster RCMP, Maidstone RCMP, Kitscoty RCMP, Wilton Police, ALERT and SERT resulted in three individuals being taken into custody and the stolen vehicle recovered.
Assault on a police officer with a weapon, impaired and possession of stolen property over $5,000 are among the five charges facing a 15-year-old female, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
A 27-year-old man and a 30-year-old man, both residents of Lloydminster, were also charged with possession of stolen Property over $5000 and are scheduled to appear in court on March 4th.
