A fire broke out at the Unity Agro-Plex on the evening of Sunday, January 19.
Emergency crews were on the scene, and updates on the extent of the fire and damage will become available. The immediate cause of the fire remains uncertain.
Located on the rodeo grounds off Highway 14, the Agro-Plex building was constructed entirely by volunteers in 1991. The multi-functional building is used for family reunions, anniversaries, weddings, auction sales, Ag Safety Education Day as well as its regular role in Western Days events. It is the second-largest hall in Unity.
